New Canucks 3rd jersey leaked?

John sent me a link to Icethetics, who apparently has a leaked version of the Canucks third jersey the team was planning on unveiling on November 15th.
It was never a secret that the team wanted to bring back the vintage stick-and-rink logo – Chris Zimmerman has said as much at the past couple of State of the Franchise events – and this jersey certainly fits what’s been said all along.
Personally, I’ve always liked this logo though I admit that it looks a little awkward from this angle. Plus, there’s already chatter that the Johnny Canuck looks a little too much like this guy. I suppose whether or not this version is a hit among Canucks fans remains to be seen.

I absolutely love it! Very sharp updated look on a true vintage look. The modified Stick ‘n Rink looks has more of an edge, the stripes look bold, and the Johnny Canuck V truly says Vancouver Canucks. The latter rarely compares to the Vachon logo. Different V design and JC is right in the centre unlike the baker whose eyes are closed while he is eating. This will be our full-time uniform in a year or two. Then the JC-V will be on a third green sweater. Great job Canucks!

I was hoping for the original “stick in rink” logo, but it looks like we are stuck with the modified version of the crest. I do admit that it has grown on me a bit, but I still don’t like it. On the other hand, Johnny Canuck on the shoulder patches is great, and should have been the main crest. Ahhh well.

I dont like the shoulder patch- i would rather it be th current one they have now, this one is to plain – you dont see alot of Nhl jerseys that are that plain- I like the C better
