First, Canucks playoff tickets go on sale tomorrow. From CDC:
The Vancouver Canucks announced today that approximately 1,000 single game tickets for two home games in Round 1 of the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs will go on sale via phone and internet only on Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 am. Fans can purchase tickets online at www.ticketmaster.ca, or by calling Ticketmaster at (604) 280-4400, or 1 (800) 663-9311. General Motors Place Box Office and Ticketmaster Ticket Centres will not be used to avoid disappointing those fans that traditionally line up for hours without successfully purchasing tickets.
Good luck to all.
Second, the Canucks playoff dates are now known. Well, kinda.
From TEAM 1040:
It’s a jumbled scenario that ends with two possibilities: First in the Northwest Division and home-ice advantage in the opening round against Columbus, or 5th in the West and a first-round series against Chicago. Chicago clinches fourth in the West if Calgary gets one or no points against Edmonton Friday night. Columbus visits St. Louis Friday, and can lock up 6th in the West with a single point.
If the Canucks win the Northwest, they’re expected to open the postseason Wednesday at home against Columbus, followed by a Friday game. If Calgary wins the division, the Canucks should open the playoffs Thursday in Chicago, with game two on Saturday.
Tracy and I are leaving for Montego Bay, Jamaica tonight. Hopefully we’ll find a place that will show the Canucks games. If the Canucks win the division, we won’t be home for the first two games; if they Flames do, we won’t be home for just the first one. Regardless, I’ll be online all week, keeping on top of the boys during this most exciting time of year.
