Time to take a deep breath

We’ve finally reached the part of the playoffs where Canucks fans feel uneasy. It’s actually kind of shocking it hasn’t happened earlier. But look my lovelies. Take a deep breath. Hold my hand if you need to. It’s going to be FINE. This series is tied 2-2. The Canucks aren’t down 3-1 to the other team. Did I miss the memo that said the boys were going to sweep the Hawks as well as the Blues? We knew these teams were well matched and it was going to be a long series. The Canucks can still close this out. There were times last night where they were smoking hot. Please, don’t panic yet. Don’t be like the homeless guy that yelled “The Canucks are terrible!” when I was downtown rocking my Matty Ohlund sweater today.

Yes, I stomped my feet last night and shook my blonde head angrily. They lost in what is probably the way I hate the most, clinging to a one goal lead. The Mr. Conservative side of AV made an appearance and took over. I thought we had lost that guy after the Sharks game in January, but I guess not completely. It’s true, having your handsome 4th line goon do all your scoring is not going to cut it going all the way to the Cup. 15 shots on net is not nearly good enough. Not with the caliber of goalies left in the post season. There was no room for one little mistake in this game.

They went from giving the babyHawks too much space to focusing a little too much defensively and not enough on offence and shots on net and crashing the other net. These boys are smart enough to adjust though. The guys that had bad games will bounce back. The playoff rookies are just that little bit more experienced. So, put on your Canucks clothing tomorrow that makes you look the hottest, paint your nails blue and green, stroke that playoff beard, and cheer on your boys. They can take this in six games. And even if they falter and fall short, do you want to be the dude/female dude that whines and complains and doesn’t enjoy the last few games of Canucks hockey we have left?

The deep breaths are something we Canuck fans are well versed in over the years. In fact, the Canucks store should sell Canucks official oxygen bottles!
It makes me laugh how many media “experts” and fans wrote this current Canucks team off at the start of the season. So sweet to see them eating humble pie.
Ive alays said we will take the hawks in 6..I stand by that too.
Lets enjoy what hockey we have left, lets support OUR Canucks.

Aaaaaaannnnnd, discipline once again fails the Canucks. The better team has won to get to a three-two series lead.

Hitting is all well and good, but dumb penalties don’t have to come with, do they?

Calling the Blackhawks “babyHawks” and saying the Canucks were going to take the series in six games?

It is obvious who is the better 5-5 team. Heck, the Canucks coach even said so after the first two games. You team was horribly undisciplined last night and the Blackhawks made them pay dearly for that. The cost? Coming to Chicago for games six and facing playoff elimination.

Please keep taking stupid penalties. The Canucks are not the only team with a good power play in this series 🙂
