    Curiously McIver is not mentioned as a candidate for the 5 and 6 spots, yet I think that that the Canucks have high hopes for him.

  7. Sauve and Ellington are nowhere near ready to make this team. In all likelihood, Sauve will return to junior and Ellington will hopefully make the Moose.

    I believe Gillis when he says he will acquire another blueliner. If I was a betting man, I’d say that new blueliner will replace Edler’s minutes while Edler replaces Ohlund’s. At this point, the rest – Rome, Baumgartner and Nycholat – are all battling for the number 7 spot.

    PS. Unless I missed it, I don’t think McIver is signed yet, though the Canucks did qualify him.
