My money is on the fact that Kevin is still pissed about being “mugged” in a dark alley during his tenure here in Vancouver.

Because we all know that’s the real reason he was late for a practice.

I concur— he couldn’t even pronounce the Canucks properly half the time– it was “kaanooks” to him. Thanks for the tryout— now go hone your skills in the ECHL…

He was horrible, yes, but please, dear god, don’t put Crawford back in that booth.

(Oh, and I think you meant that they outshot the Flames 36-15, by the way.)

He sounded like an American announcer to me: lots of useless stats at the wrong time with absolutely no insight into the game. Stiff and colourless and way too simpistic. I reached for the mute button often. Damn. It’s going to be a long season.

Well said, couldn’t agree more. Feels like we’re watching the broadcast on a local channel in Calgary, so biased.

I don’t think he’s that biased, but he talked almost exclusively on goaltending. He did comment on the big save Luongo made when the Canucks were pushing for the tying goal. I believe he also mentioned that Calgary got away with interference in the final seconds (the other guy, a total homer, said it was a savvy veteran play)

Give him a break. It’s his first game and your team lost it. What do you want from the guy? That’s not his fault.

  27. Geez, could they have exalted Dion (overrated) Phaneuf anymore? How about another anecdote or profile on him eh (and his cheap shot hits). Or perhaps another explanation about the greatness that is the Sutters?

I almost always watch games on delay but had to got ot real-time to switch audio to radio just to not loose my mind. Please CBC, let us have Hughson and even that cheese-vendor Simpson rather than this weak duo!
