Your dose of “Oh MY God that just happened” for the day
This is Linus Klasen of Sodertalje in the Swedish Elite League on a penalty shot against Frolunda back on March 4th 2010. I think this is by far the best penalty shot move I have ever seen.
Take a look for yourself, you be the judge.
Apparently this isn’t the first time he’s pulled off some crazy moves. Here’s his rendition of the Mike Legg Boston goal:
The man who is referred to as the wizard also has his some serious deking skills.
The 24 year old who has gold medals in all three of the World Championships looks like a stud. I don’t know much about him, but by the looks of it he was never drafted and my guess is just plans on being a lifer in the SEL. Either way, he makes for some great highlight reel material. Could you imagine this guy with the Sedins?
This guy’s got a quick stick but that doesn’t necessarily translate into success at the NHL level. See: Rob Schremp. A lot of the moves he pulls in the SEL would just land him flat on his ass at the NHL level. A better fit for the Sedins would be Mattias Weinhandl. Now there’s a player who never got a fair shot at the NHL level. EL KABONG!

Mattias Weinhandl had 2 shots to play in the NHL and couldn’t hack it with the Wild or the Isles. He also sucked with the Sedins when they played together during the lockout and, more recently, during the Olympics.

Weinhandl was stuck on the 4th line for much of his career. You aren’t going to produce if you’re playing for 8 minutes per game or if you’re paired up with Boogaard. If you haven’t noticed, the only guy who played well during the Olympics for Team Sweden was Nick Backstrom. In the lockout year, he led his team in scoring (which included both Sedins) and was third in SEL scoring behind only Zetterberg and Huselius.
Try getting some facts on your side before you post, Trevor.

The problem is he can´t play in his own zone. He had like -15 in +/- this season.

My mind is blown, like, ALL over the walls right now.
It will take a long time to clean up.
Thanks Richard.
