Have you ever wanted to skate alongside one of your hockey heroes? Well, now you have a chance to do just that.
On BC Family Day, Monday, February 11, 2013, Sun Life Financial is sponsoring “Skate with the Canucks“, a chance for fans to take the ice at Rogers Arena with some current Canucks players and Canucks alumni. Thanks to our friends from the Vancouver Canucks, one CHB reader and a guest can join them.
You can enter in two, very easy ways:
- In the comments section of this post, let us know which Canucks skater has impressed you the most in the early part of this season.
- For a bonus entry, tweet the following:
I entered and RT to win a spot to Skate with the #Canucks via @canuckshockey @VanCanucks @lyteforce. http://nucks.co/4x #CHB
The deadline to enter is Friday, February 8, 2013 at 6:00 PM. Shortly afterwards, we will randomly select one winner from the entries.
Some notes: The skate session starts at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 11. Skate and helmet rentals are not available so you will have to bring your own. You will also be required to sign a waiver before you step on the ice. At least one member of the 2012/2013 Vancouver Canucks will be on the ice during the event.
Schroeder has impressed me the most as his two way play was unexpected. Kassian has been a star!
The player who has impressed me the most so far this season is Mason Raymond. He has come back to form after a very serious injury.
Luongo is back!!!
It’s a tough split between Raymond and Kassian. I think Kassian has had the easier role playing with the Sedins though so I’ll go with Raymond. Hopefully he can keep up the pace all season.
Kassian has impressed me the most this season, however my fav player will always be Kevin Bieksa! I have been a fan of his since he played with the Manitoba Moose and would love to get him to sign my Manitoba Moose jersey!
Zack kassian has impressed me the most. The way he has exploded out if the gates this season. Maybe it’s because he has been playing with the sedins but then again it’s also his willingness to go to tough areas, going to right place and even willing to scrap it? Definetily the most improvement I have seen in a player recently between seasons. But kesler luongo Malhotra and bieksa are my fave right now.
Zach Kassian!
Luongo!!!!
Luongo for sure!
Chris Tanev!
Dan Hamuis!
I really like the kassian is making his way into the line up. He is everything and more that I hoped he would be when they announced he was coming here. Can wait till he get comfortable with this Canucks team
Kassian for sure, but loving Tanev b/c of the last game!
Luongo!
Can’t beat the twins
Kassian without a doubt! This kid is going to be a stud.
Tanev.
Kassian
Kassassin
KASSIAN
Je veux patiner avec Alex Burrows Alex came and visited my class last year and as a teacher I was inspired by how he spoke to the children about hard work and dedication. Oh, and he spoke French to them too!
Zack Kassian!
Mason Raymond, for finally growing up from being bambi all over the ice and actually making plays in the o-zone
Schroeder. Kassian and Tanev have been great, but a jump in their play was sort of expected. It was hard to tell if Schroeder was even going to suffice as a stop gap at centre while Kes is out, but he’s proved he belongs in the NHL full time.
Aaron Volpatti has been skating his brains out and hitting everything in sight!
Andrews favorite skater this year is Ryan KESSLER.
Zach kassian all the way!!!!:)
Mason Raymond. he has fallen 50% less than last season. okay, it’s still early. =)
Schroeder definitely one of the strongest skaters on the team!
LaPierre and Ballard…it would be the mostest funnest!
So many to choose from! Kassian would be the obvious choice, but I’m going to go with Schroeder.
Kassian is probably the obvious answer but he has been the more constant player since the start of the season.
Jannik Hansen
my favorite skater so far is Mason Raymond
Schroeder probably :):)
