Unless I’m reading the NHL standings wrong, it looks like the following are the remaining, possible playoff scenarios for our Vancouver Canucks as the Western Conference schedule concludes tonight:

  • If the Blues win, the Canucks will play the loser of the Kings and Sharks game.
  • If the Blues lose AND the Kings win, the Canucks will play the Sharks.
  • If the Blues lose in regulation AND the Sharks win in regulation, the Canucks will play the Kings.
  • If the Blues lose in regulation AND the Sharks win in OT or the shootout, the Canucks will play the Blues.
  • If the Blues lose in OT or the shootout AND the Sharks win in regulation, the Canucks will play the Kings.
  • If the Blues lose in OT or the shootout AND the Sharks win in OT or the shootout, the Canucks will play the Kings.

    Just not the Blues please!

So it’s Kings, Sharks or Blues? Bring ’em on!

  3. Any of those 3 teams will be tough. I just hope the ‘Nucks bring their “A”-game after such an uneven season.
