So You Want to be a CHBer?

Over the years, we at Canucks Hockey Blog have received countless email, tweets, random conversations at games and other such forms of communication from people interested in joining the crazy cast of characters we call CHB. And while the timing hasn’t always been right, we always knew that we’d eventually look to grow.

Joyous news folks! That time is now!

So You Want to be a CHBer?

So You Want to be a CHBer? *includes fine print

Do you have what it takes?

We’re looking for folks in and outside the Smylosphere who have amazing ideas and can actually get the job done. Maybe you create awesome we graphics? Works for us. Or you’re the type that can count past three? CHB only counts to three so we’d probably benefit from you too. What about people who are most happy talking about wage differential and managed economies? Well, not too sure about you but why the heck not?

As you can see, we’re looking for pretty much anyone and anything!

But to simplify, we’re looking for the two following areas:

  • Written content – preferably recurring and hockey related (we’re hockey fans first).
  • Audiovisual content – Are you a videographer? Do you Photoshop in your sleep? Do you sound like Morgan Freeman? Yes.. that stuff.

Are you awesome in either of those areas?

And we would be remiss if we didn’t mention that there is no pay available. While you’d think bloggers make money, we have yet to figure out the secret to that level of success and instead use what little money we do make to cover the costs of hosting the site. Then, if there is anything left over… we go get drunk (or drink virgin Rum and Cokes on the Rocks if that’s you sort of thing).

So if you like to have fun, understand it’s important to remain a fan first and think you’d fit in as a CHBer, all we ask you to do is fill in the form below. We’ll collect submissions until October 11, 2013 at which point the head honchos here at CHB will get together in the Canucks Hockey Bunker (I just made that up) and determine who makes the grade – we will contact those successful no later than October 18, 2013.

Just remember, your application needs to stand out from the rest so get all Glengarry Glen Ross and sell yourself (in the proverbial sense of course):
