I want to say I’m proud of them and they had a hell of a season anyways, and I will soon. There’s several guys on this team who completely surprised and delighted me this season and they will get some post love in the coming weeks. But not today. Today my heart hurts and I’m miserable. It feels like Zdeno Chara stepped on my heart. I really did believe this Canucks team could do more than this. Right now I feel like tearing up because this was in all probability Matty Ohlund’s last game as a Canuck. Today I feel like bitching about the reffing and hoping the BabyHawks get humilated by the Wings. This was a beautiful, beautiful, hockey game. There was a little bit of everything and it enthralled me as a hockey fan. It’s just a shame that it ended the way it did because I adore this team so much. I promise I will have less girlie and more in depth discussion of the season in the next few days. For now I need to eat some comfort food and listen to some cheer up music.

    it’s a bit childish to say you want Detroit to humiliate the Hawks. It would just reinforce the idea that Vancouver is a much weaker team.

    In any regard, Vancouver had a good season. Losing to the 3rd best record in the West isn’t any reason to fly off the wagon. If only they held leads better. Then again, Chicago as a team is strong on all four lines. It’s a really young team but a really deep team. And they went right after Luongo’s glove which payed huge dividends for them last night.

    I look forward to seeing the Hawks move forward. Anytime you have a team this young learn how to play, it’s nothing but exciting.

    how does the first statement relate to the second? sure, you can say it’s a bit childish for alix to want detroit to humiliate the hawks, but how does alix’s personal view “reinforce the idea” that vancouver is a weak team? it’s not as if she’s an actual player on the vancouver canucks. please elaborate.

    jimmy – funny, a couple seasons ago, the blackhawks weren’t even a contender for the playoffs. it was a long time before the blackhawks made it this far too. be appreciative of the team you have now and don’t troll opposing team’s blogs just to gloat; that’s immature. oh wait, how could i expect maturity from someone who thinks providing weed is vancouver’s only job?

    Don’t forget the Hawks also sucked for many years in order to get those high draft picks which resulted in talent such as Kane. I give them credit for playing well, and they did clearly outplay our boys. They will be an exciting team to watch.

    As for trolls, obviously you have nothing better to do with your life. How sad.

    Obviously today I can say the Hawks were the better team and deserved to win the series.

    But you know who else is being childish? You Hawks fans that can’t celebrate amongst yourselves and win gracefully. I mean, if I had been in your position, I would have been at a victory party, not trolling on Hawks blogs.
