After a frantic finish, the Canucks won 2-1 against the Colorado Avalanche tonight. How frantic was it? The Avs had the Canucks hemmed in their own zone for pretty much the last 2 minutes of the third period and threw 8 shots on net (4 stopped by Luongo, 3 missed the net and 1 was blocked by Andrew Alberts).

But then again, the Avs had SEVEN guys on the ice by the end of it so what did you expect?

The Canucks are first in the West, they’re first in the NHL. On to San Jose tomorrow night.

There are three Aves by the far left side of the screen shot, partially blocked by a canuck player. You can still see his helmet fairly clearly though (black).

If this was a Penguin or Captials game it will be on news all day but no one really pay attention to Canucks in the West

Kevin there are seven AVS in the photo one of whom you can barely see as he is directly to the left of and behind a Canuck. Start to Luongo and the referees left. That is ONE. Then directly to his right and closest to him in fron of Luongo is another AV player who is almost obscured by a Canuck. That is TWO. THREE is in front of the Canuck who is obscuring the AV player. FOUR, FIVE, SIX and SEVEN are obvious.
