Episode 67 of the C4 podcast reunites Matt and Clay to talk Vancouver Canucks hockey in preparation of the 2015-16 NHL season.
When C4 last aired, the boys suggested they wouldn’t be back until closer to Training Camp unless something silly were to happen. Well, guess what… silly is EXACTLY what happened! Chris, Matt, Clay & Adam all got together to discuss the events since the NHL Entry Draft and more specifically, the Bonino/Clendening trade for Sutter. They break down the deal, try to read the tea leaves to determine what the Linden/Benning plan happens to be, and discuss what they think will be the next steps. And it’s not a solid episode of C4 if we don’t get our listeners involved...
With the entry draft and beginning of free agent frenzy behind us, Matt, Chris and Clay get together to share their thoughts in episode 65 of the C4 podcast.
In episode 64 – because we’re too good for an episode 63 – Matt, Chris, Clay AND Adam all get together to talk Canucks prospects, the draft and more. But that’s not all! Joining us for this special episode of C4 is guest Brendan Burke (@brendanmburke), voice of the Canucks’ farm team Utica Comets to give us a few thoughts on how the kids did during their playoff run, who impressed and disappointed over the season and who might make the big team for 2015/16. All that and more in your favourite Canucks podcast! The Summer of Jim – June...
With the Canucks bounced from the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Chris, Matt & J.J. got together for episode 62 of C4 to break down what went wrong and if anything went right.
Matt and Clay connect to recap the Canucks win in Game 5 to keep the series going. They analyze the performance of Ryan Miller, talk about the atmosphere in Rogers Arena, think that Vrbata might look like his old self and what the team needs to do in Game 6 to ensure a win and a return home for Game 7 in episode 61 of the C4 podcast.
With back-to-back losses in Calgary, Matt and Adam try to piece together what has happened to the Canucks and lay out what they feel is needed for the Canucks to turn this series around and stave off elimination in Game 5. They also talk about the impact of the Burrows injury on the lineup and debate why Willie Desjardins started Brandon McMillan over Sven Baertschi. All that and more in episode 60 of C4.
J.J. joins Matt in episode 59 to pick apart the play of the Canucks in Game Three and figure out what went wrong. They also toss around the likelihood that the Canucks may be without the services of Burrows and Hamhuis, what needs to change for the Canucks to take Game Four, and where they see this series trending.
In episode 58 of C4, Clay & Matt are joined by a couple special guests to breakdown the Canucks win over the Flames, discuss the fisticuffs and rough stuff at the end, muse a bit more on Luca Sbisa, and set up Game Three in Calgary.
