The Game According to Twitter: Canucks 1 at Stars 5

Against another potential playoff opponent, the Canucks collapsed once again last night. This time around, they allowed 4 goals in the third period and lost 5-1 loss to the Dallas Stars. The forwards were bad, and the defense was especially bad. Get well soon, Kevin Bieksa and Chris Tanev. We need you back. Canucks at Stars Game Day Preview: So Much for “Not Winning for Mackinnon”

While the Canucks’ performance on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues was admirable – they certainly held their own against a much more physical Blues team – they certainly have some more work to do before the playoffs begin. For starters, regardless of their injury list, they need to be able to generate more offense. On Friday, Henrik Sedin passed Markus Naslund as the all-time leader with points as a Canuck, Ryan Kesler returned from injury, and Canucks fans were getting a chance to vote on what they felt the boys in blue should skate out to. Clay, Chris, Ed and back again as a special guest, Alan from the Hogshack in Steveston, ponder these and more in this latest episode of CHB TV. Apologies in advance for the singing.

Canucks Review and Preview: February 18 to 24, 2013

Without a doubt, the highlight of the last week was Henrik Sedin passing Markus Naslund as the Canucks’ franchise scoring leader. Against the Stars on Friday, King Hank assisted on brother Daniel’s goal to tie Naslund, and a bit later in the game, passed Naslund with a beautiful cross-ice assist on Alex Burrows’ marker.

Canucks Review and Preview: March 26 to April 1, 2012

[Every week, Caylie King reviews the Canucks week that was and previews the Canucks week ahead.  You can follow Caylie on Twitter (@CayKing).] The Vancouver Canucks started off their recently-concluded 4-game road trip by being shutout 2-0 against the Minnesota Wild. Cory Schneider played a solid game in Minnesota but the team in front of him just couldn’t bury the puck. Then, after trying to find their game for well over a month, the Canucks seemed to turn the corner against rival Chicago Blackhawks. Unfortunately, it was a dirty, cheap Duncan Keith elbow on Daniel Sedin that ignited the fire....
