With only three sleeps left until the puck drops for real in the 2009/2010 season, we’ve gathered some of your favorite bloggers to preview your 2009/2010 Vancouver Canucks. Richard, Alix and I will be moderating the discussion; and on the panel, we have: Sean and Mike from Nucks Misconduct, Brian and Josh from Canucks Corner, Cam from Canucks Army, and the crew from The Crazy Canucks podcast, Rebecca, John and Dave. We also hope to have Derek Jory, the Canucks website writer, join us at some point.

Please do feel free to submit your questions – starting at 8:00 PM, we’ll queue them up and direct them to the panel. (Please be patient if you don’t see your question pop up on the screen right away. We just want to make sure that the previous question is answered before we push the next one through.)

Cody Hodgson and Michael Grabner get another chance to impress the Canucks’ brass. Sergei Shirokov returns to the lineup. Which one of them will still be with the team come October 1st?

Sep 232009

After a so-so performance on Monday night, Cody Hodgson will get another chance tonight to prove he belongs in the bigs. He’ll line up with Ryan Kesler and Alex Burrows in what will, in effect, be the Canucks’ top line. Elliott Pap (Vancouver Sun) has the rest of the lineup here.

Kudos to Brian Comptom from for sharing the Canucks’ roster and game sheet for tonight’s game:

Don’t have much info as to who is playing for the Islanders tonight, as the game sheet I’ve been given basically includes every player who was invited to their camp.

As for Vancouver, captain/goaltender Roberto Luongo is not here. The two goalies listed are Andrew Raycroft and Corey Schneider.

Defensemen are as follows: Kevin Bieksa, Willie Mitchell, Aaron Rome, Brad Lukowich, Nolan Baumgartner, Yann Sauve, Shane O’Brien and Evan Oberg.

Forwards: Dave Scatchard, Ronald Petrovicky, Jannik Hansen, Rick Rypien, Michael Grabner, Kyle Wellwood, Alexandre Bolduc, Eric Walsky, Guillaume Desbiens, Mario Bliznak, Pierre-Cedric Labrie and Sergei Shirokov.
