Fret not if you didn’t have your morning coffee before the Vancouver Canucks’ 10 AM game versus the Carolina Hurricanes yesterday because the first 5 minutes would’ve woken you up. Not only was there a bit of a brouhaha just a couple of minutes into the game, but the Canucks also scored the first goal in a game for just the 11th time this season. On the powerplay. The #canucks scored first? And on the power play yet? I must still be dreaming! #tgatt — Sporting Vancouver (@vansport) December 1, 2013 Things got dicey at the start of the second...Click here to read more.

It looked like a road trip away from Rogers Arena was just what the Vancouver Canucks needed. Against the Ottawa Senators last night, the Canucks, playing their first of 4 games on the road, won convincingly by a 5-2 score. But it wasn’t just the final score that was impressive. David Booth played perhaps his best game in two years, and had a goal and an assist. Jason Garrison scored his first goal in 25 games. Dale Weise and Mike Santorelli both scored greasy goals from in front of the net. And Roberto Luongo made 37 saves. The #nhl should've...Click here to read more.
After outplaying the Los Angeles Kings for much of the game and carrying a lead late into the third period, the Vancouver Canucks, thanks to a couple of miscues, dropped a 3-2 decision in overtime. It was perhaps one of the best games they’ve played in this homestand but it wasn’t enough. Instead, they ended their 6-game homestand with 5 losses, and since dominating the Toronto Maple Leafs on Pavel Bure night, have now lost 8 of their last 10 games. Well that sucks. #Canucks #TGATT — Chris Golden (@lyteforce) November 26, 2013 Yes it does.Click here to read more.
Well, that was a big monkey of their backs. After 5 consecutive losses, a stretch in which they scored a grand total of 6 goals, the Vancouver Canucks busted out of their slump in a big way, and beat the Columbus Blue Jackets by a 6-2 score. WHAT A GAME!!! Finally, all those shots paid off!! #Canucks #TGATT — Jacqueline B (@JacqSparrow) November 23, 2013 Here’s hoping this is the start of some good puck luck for the good guys.Click here to read more.
On Sunday night, the Vancouver Canucks rolled into Anaheim, which, I suppose, isn’t hard when the previous game not even 24 hours ago was in Los Angeles – or a mere 45-minute bus drive away. The Canucks were looking to bounce back after an abysmal 5-1 loss to the Kings, but unfortunately, the Canucks fell short to the Ducks as well, losing by a 3-1 score. Tom Sestito scored the lone Canucks goal, and the Canucks closed out their 4-game road trip with a 1-2-1 record. even when Sestito scores, we still lose #Canucks — Sedinitronic (@sedinitronic) November 11, 2013...Click here to read more.
The Vancouver Canucks and the Los Angeles Kings renewed their rivalry, as both members of the Pacific Division, last night. It was a good battle – both teams produced some good scoring chances, their goalies made some good saves, and it was a relatively even-fought affair… until the Kings scored 3 goals in 2:33 in the second period and ran away with it. This is just ridiculous..#TGATT — Kiran Mehat (@Me_Hat4482) November 10, 2013 Yup, pretty much what we felt.Click here to read more.
Are you still trying to figure out your Halloween Costume? Picking the perfect costume can be a real conundrum. Just in case some of our beloved Canucks players are still searching for the perfect costume, we here at CHB have put together some choice suggestions that are bound to score them lots of candy… and maybe a few laughs. David Booth should go as Ricky Bobby This is the perfect costume for Booth because it’s hillbilly-ish which suits him and I’m sure he uses delicious Wonder Bread to make his freshly killed Moose meat sandwiches… or deer meat or antelope...Click here to read more.
The Vancouver Canucks played the Pittsburgh Penguins in an early morning match-up so we get a dose of Sidney Crosby with our eggs and coffee. And that’s not even the best part. See, after globetrotting over the last few months, Lizz Moffat is back. And so is The Game According to Twitter. #CHBHaiku: Welcome back #TGATT One and only @lizzmoffat Back in full effect — Clay Imoo (@CanuckClay) October 19, 2013Click here to read more.
But maybe not so surprising when you realize the Canucks played without their whole top line and their 3 of their top-4 defensemen. Heck, Derek Joslin, Cam Barker and Frankie Corrado all played about 19-20 minutes each. Those stats alone probably say it all.Click here to read more.
With a 2-1 shootout victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets in Columbus, the Canucks were able to avenge last week’s 2-1 overtime defeat to the same team in the same arena. This time, highlights included the strong goaltending of Roberto Luongo and Mason Raymond’s spin-o-rama goal in the shootout. In this video, I touch on Roberto Luongo’s strong game, David Booth’s aggressive play, Alex Burrows sliding into Luongo, boarding penalties, the goaltending situation, Cam Barker’s offensive prowess, and Tom Sestito’s decreasing playing time.Click here to read more.
