Canucks at Coyotes Game Day Preview: Power Shortage

Canucks at Coyotes Game Day Preview: Power Shortage

After Ray Whitney decided to take his talents to Dallas this past off-season, the Coyotes were left with a big hole in their offense. It’s an early game in Detroit today. Luckily NASCAR finished on time, so there were no TV conflicts in my house. None of the duct taped cars won, so I was pretty disappointed.

Welcome to Dallas, Texas, where everything is bigger. None bigger than Brett Hull’s skate. Tonight, the Stars celebrate Marty Turco. Canucks fans have fond memories of him. Marty Turco. And already in 4 of their first 6 games, the Canucks couldn’t hang on to leads like Dustin Diamond couldn’t hang on to his dignity.

And already things are looking pretty good. At least compared to last night.

Well, five minutes have passed and the #Canucks haven’t dug themselves a 2-0 hole yet.

Clowe heads back to the box for high-sticking. He has a full out tantrum about it, earning him another, like, a zillion penalties. He’s done for the night.
