2015 Canucks for Kids Fund Telethon: A Blogger’s Challenge

Tonight, the Vancouver Canucks are hosting their 25th annual Canucks for Kids Telethon. And as we always do here at CHB, we are proud to show our support through a variety of Canucks-themed donations!

Canucks For Kids Telethon

Over the past few seasons, a number of us Canucks bloggers have pledged to donate a few bucks during the Canucks for Kids Fund Telethon based on different criteria – goals scored, faceoff wins, and other such sports props. And after helping raise over $300 last season, we want to figuratively blow the roof of this blog by raising even more!

In the famous words of Barney Stinson, “It’s gonna be legend-… wait for it… and I hope you’re not lactose intolerant because the second half of that word is DAIRY!!”

So for tonight’s telethon, the following contributors have also pledged the following:

  • Christopher Golden (@lyteforce): $3 for every minute that Tanev plays, $10 for each Tanev point & $25 for each Tanev goal.
  • Clay Imoo (@CanuckClay): $5 for every Sedin point, $10 if the Canucks reach 40 shots on goal & $20 for every Horvat point.
  • Delia Xenophontos (@DeliaXeno): $10 for every Canucks goal, $10 for every Bieksa & Burrows point.
  • Victoria Denault (@BooksbyVictoria): $5 for every Higgins, Burrows or Kassian point, $25 for a Canucks win in regulation, $50 for every Lack goal & $50 if Lack fights.

Want to match a CHBer? Or set a stats pledge of your own? Leave us a comment! If you get it in before 4pm we’ll add it to the post. Let’s see how much CHB can raise!

And once your pledge is in, you can call 1-85-KIDSFUND (1-855-437-3863) or by heading to canucks.com/telethon.

Nucks Misconduct’s gmonk33 will be donating 5 cents for each comment in tonight’s game thread, and there may be more joining in on that.
